Late Mr L K Bakhshi was a reknowned travel writer. A member of Haryana Civil Services, he was General Manager of Haryana Tourism and Administrator of Kurukshetra ( Thanesar). A reknowned travel writer,he was bestowed several awards including Rajiv Gandhi Award for outstanding contribution to Tourism. In his memory, IATO ( Indian Association of Tour Operators) has set up " L K Bakhshi-Excellence in Journalism Award" which recognises contribution of Travel Media in tourism promotion

Thanks for writing good wards about my father late Mr. L.K.Bakhshi. I wish to add that Mr Bakhshi possessed excellent public relations skills and there is hardly any person in tourism and public relations arena of his time who did not know him. It is of interest to know that his birthday falls on 27th September which is commemorated as World Toursim Day. SO he was born for Tourism. He was the founder President of Travel Media Forum. I wish we had any system to post his photograph here.
